Postoperative radioactive iodine-131 ablation is not necessary among patients with intermediate-risk differentiated thyroid carcinoma: a population-based study.
CONCLUSION: In DTC patients with intermediate cancer risk although postoperative RAI ablation following surgery showed a benefit in overall survival, no significant difference was seen in cancer-specific survival, either based on whole study population or on tumor size category.
