Letter-to-the-Editor “Laparoscopic treatment of early-stage endometrial cancer with and without uterine manipulator: Our experience and review of literature” by Tinelli R et al. (Surgical Oncology 25 (2016) 98–103)
We read with great interest the results of the study performed by Tinelli et al. “Laparoscopic treatment of early-stage endometrial cancer with and without uterine manipulator: Our experience and review of literature” in the recent edition of Surgical Oncology [1]. The authors present data of a retrospective case control study of 110 patients who underwent laparoscopic surgery with or without the use of a uterine manipulator for clinical early stage endometrial cancer. They conclude that the use of a uterine manipulator does not increase the rate of positive peritoneal cytology, LVSI and recurrence.
