The Patient Body: When are Religious Exemptions Religious?

Several months ago, I posted a draft chapter of a forthcoming book from Cambridge University Press, titled LAW, RELIGION, AND AMERICAN HEALTHCARE.  My chapter is titled “Brain Death Rejected: Expanding Legal Duties to Accommodate Religious Exemptions.” Ann Neumann, has just published some constructive criticism at The Revealer: A Review of Religion and Media.  Neumann is a contributing editor at The Revealer and Guernica magazine and a visiting scholar at NYU's Center for Religion and Media.  She is also author of The Good Death: An Exploration of Dying in America (Beacon Press).
