Call for Applications: Williams Syndrome Association Junior Investigator Award Williams Syndrome Association 2014 Professional Conference June 30 - July 1, 2014 Garden Grove, California Williams Syndrome: Insight from Genetics, Psychology, Neuroscience & Medicine $1000 (plus registration and travel costs up to $1500) Applications Due March 30, 2014 The Williams Syndrome Association is pleased to provide a Junior Investigator Award in the amount of $1000. This award will recognize the recent accomplishments of an individual who received his/her PhD in the past five years. In addition to the Award money, the recipient’s transportation, lodging, and registration will be covered up to $1500. In order to receive the award, the winner must present his/her research at the conference. The competition for this award is open to anyone conducting research on WS, regardless of country of citizenship. Application Guidelines: Award applicants must submit the following by March 30, 2014: ● A cover letter from you succinctly describing the impact of your research on WS and the anticipated trajectory of your research over the next 5 years ● A copy of your PhD thesis, a first-author peer-reviewed article that has been published or is in press, or a first-author manuscript under review by a peer-reviewed journal ● A statement that if you win the award, you will attend the conference and...
