A Case of Adverse Response of Right Ventricular Pacing in Dilated Cardiomyopathy Who Had Fully Recovered Systolic Function

A 70's-year-old female was diagnosed and treated as non-ischemic dilated cardiomyopathy (DCM). Ejection fraction had fully recovered to normal left ventricular (LV) systolic function with medication of carvedilol and enalapril. After a while, DDD pacing was implanted for her development of atrioventricular block and bradycardia. Two year later, she was rushed to our hospital with cardiogenic pulmonary edema. Recurrence of LV systolic dysfunction was revealed without appearance of atrial fibrillation or any other arrhythmias.
