74. Functional Connectivity Changes as a Result of a Novel Executive Working Memory Training in Adolescents With ADHD
This NIMH R61-funded clinical trial evaluated a novel executive working memory (EWM) intervention for Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) that trained cognitive operations which flexibly update or shift focus among information held within WM or stabilize WM contents by suppressing task-irrelevant or filtering distracting information. We hypothesized the intervention would alter target brain functional connectivity in the superior frontal sulcus (SFS) and mid-lateral prefrontal cortex (mid-latPFC).
