Comment on “Echopattern parameter as an aid to profile Crohn's disease patients”

With a great interest in its subject matter, we extensively reviewed and analyzed an interesting article that was recently published by your journal, entitled “Echopattern parameter as a tool for characterizing Crohn's disease patients' profiles [1]”, authored by Cristofaro et al. We commend the Authors for their innovative efforts. Their core findings suggest that the assessment of bowel wall echopattern enables the differentiation of various Crohn's Disease (CD) behaviors, particularly noting that a hypoechoic echopattern correlates with both clinical and ultrasonographic (US) markers of inflammation, as well as poorer short-term outcomes among CD patients.
