Clofazimine-associated enteropathy

A 36-year-old man presented to the gastroenterology department because he had experienced intermittent abdominal pain for 1 year. He had received a diagnosis of multidrug-resistant pulmonary tuberculosis 2 years earlier and had received a drug regimen containing clofazimine, linezolid, protionamide, cycloserine, pyrazinamide, and moxifloxacin for 19 months. The abdominal pain occurred after he had been taking clofazimine for 7 months. Physical examination showed skin darkening. Laboratory results showed no abnormalities.
