Uptake of screening and risk-reducing recommendations among women with hereditary breast and ovarian cancer syndrome due to pathogenic BRCA1/2 variants evaluated at a large urban comprehensive cancer center
ConclusionAn evaluation of follow up practice in a cohort of women with pathogenic variants inBRCA1/2 revealed high rates of reported completion of screening and surgical risk-reducing recommendations. Educational efforts should continue to reinforce the importance of follow-through with guideline recommended care among this high-risk group.
