Normalized Hemodynamics at Submaximal Exercise in Patients with Left Ventricular Assist Devices (LVAD)

Purpose: Peak O2 uptake (pVO2) is minimally improved after LVAD. Less is known about the impact of LVAD therapy on physiologic responses to submaximal exercise. We hypothesize that hemodynamics at submaximal exercise normalize with LVAD, but are abnormal at peak exercise.
