Lung Transplant Using Extra-Corporeal Membrane Oxygenation: Outcomes and Predictors of Conversion to Cardiopulmonary Bypass
Purpose: We analyzed the multicenter international extracorporeal life support (ECLS) in lung transplant (LTx) registry to determine risk factors for intraoperative conversion from extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) to cardiopulmonary bypass (CPB) and compared outcomes in LTx recipients who require conversion to CPB versus those who do not.
