Factors Associated with Prolonged Length of Stay After Pediatric Heart Transplantation
Purpose: Prolonged hospital length of stay (LOS) after pediatric heart transplant (HT) is a major burden on patients and families and a strain on hospital resources. Little is known about the factors associated with prolonged LOS or whether some are modifiable. We sought to evaluate trends in hospital LOS for pediatric HT recipients and identify factors associated with prolonged LOS in the current era.
