Heparin Free Zone: 100 Days of Impella 5.5 Support with Argatroban in a Patient with HIT
We describe a patient in acute cardiogenic shock with heparin induced thrombocytopenia (HIT) who was transitioned to an Impella 5.5 and supported for 100 days with argatroban and no heparin until heart transplantation.
