Short-Term Outcomes of Patients Presented with Cardiogenic Shock and Treated with the Impella 5.x Mechanical Circulatory Support

Purpose: Outcomes of patients presented with cardiogenic shock is associated with very high morbidities and mortality. Extracorporeal life support (ECLS) is the first line mechanical circulatory support (MCS) system for such patients. Recently, the use of Impella 5.x as a MCS has gained more adoption in such patients. We are evaluating early outcomes of patients presenting with cardiogenic shock and supported with the Impella 5.x MCS system.
