Pulmonary embolism (PE) remains a major cause of morbidity and mortality in the United States (United States). Despite advancements in therapy, mortality rates have increased in recent decades.1 The urbanization of residence carries notable implications for health care outcomes. Therefore, this study aimed to evaluate the impact of urbanization of residence on PE mortality rates in the United States.
