Anesthetic Sevoflurane Induces Enlargement of Dendritic Spine Heads in Mouse Neurons via Tau-Dependent Mechanisms

CONCLUSIONS: These data suggest that sevoflurane induces a tau phosphorylation-dependent demtrimental effect on dendritic spine via decreasing EAAT3 expression and increasing extracellular glutamate levels, leading to neuronal dysfunction.PMID:38507523 | DOI:10.1213/ANE.0000000000006941
