Editorial Commentary on: Improving Racial Disparities in Prostate Cancer

Racial disparities in prostate cancer treatment and their subsequent impact on outcomes including mortality have been well described. In addition to lower screening rates, inequities in guideline-concordant treatment, and lower representation in clinical trials,1 there are also disparities in health-related quality of life related to prostate cancer treatment in Black men,2,3 of which androgen-deprivation therapy (ADT)-associated depression is a major component.
