Monocytes Release Pro-Cathepsin D to Drive Blood-to-Brain Transcytosis in Diabetes

CONCLUSIONS: These findings uncover the novel role of circulatory pro-CTSD from monocytes in the pathogenesis of cerebral microvascular lesions in diabetes.
