Age Estimation and Gender Attribution in Typically Developing Children and Children With Dysarthria

CONCLUSIONS: Children with dysarthria are more difficult to estimate for their age and gender than their typically developing peers. Dysarthria thus alters the auditory-perceptual impression of indexical speech features in children, which must be considered another facet of the communication disorder associated with childhood dysarthria.PMID:38416062 | DOI:10.1044/2023_AJSLP-23-00246
