Editorial Comment: Prostate Cancer Detection Rate of Transperineal Prostate Biopsy: Cognitive Versus Software Fusion, A Multicenter Analysis

In this study, the authors compare cognitive and software fusion approaches to transperineal prostate biopsy. The authors retrospectively assess a multi-institutional cohort of 201 cognitive and 289 software fusion biopsies, with detection of clinically significant prostate cancer (csPCa) (i.e., Grade Group ≥ 2) as the primary outcome. Analysis did not demonstrate statistically different odds of detecting csPCa by biopsy technique.
