Ambient PM2.5 components and prevalence of chronic kidney disease: a nationwide cross-sectional survey in China

ConclusionsOur study demonstrated that long-term exposure to specific PM2.5 components including BC, SO42 −, and OM increased CKD risk in the general population. This study could provide new insights into source-directed PM2.5 control and CKD prevention.
