Comment on ‘Minimum detectable change in occlusal load - normative data for healthy and head and neck cancer populations’
This study involved 20 HNC patients and 20 healthy individuals from a single institution. The researchers used a specific pressure transducer to measure the minimum detectable force applied to the jaw and inter-incision distance. Out of the total of 20 patients, 15 patients (75%) underwent surgery, while 12 patients (60%) received radiotherapy (RT).
