Administration of Human Milk Oligosaccharide (2 ′-fucosyllactose) Reduces Dysbiosis and Increases Short Chain Fatty Acids in Children and Young Adults Following HSCT: A Prospective, Single-Center Study

Gut dysbiosis is implicated in the pathophysiology of graft-versus-host disease (GVHD). We have previously shown that human milk administration favorably modifies the gut microbiome and metabolome by virtue of human milk oligosaccharides (HMOs) that are known prebiotics (Khandelwal et al, 2019).
