Gut dysbiosis is implicated in the pathophysiology of graft-versus-host disease (GVHD). We have previously shown that human milk administration favorably modifies the gut microbiome and metabolome by virtue of human milk oligosaccharides (HMOs) that are known prebiotics (Khandelwal et al, 2019).
