Reply to: Supported PCI reduced one-year all-cause mortality compared to standard PCI?

I would like to congratulate the authors for their precise research letter entitled: “supported PCI reduced one-year all-cause mortality compared to standard PCI?”. The authors should be acknowledged for their concise and timely work in trying to underline the problem of consistency in meta-analysis that consider also non RCTs evidence. Their comment is appropriate and clear. Ne vertheless, some observations must be addressed, and some issues must be taken in consideration in the case of the study from Iannaccone et al., especially regarding the choice between fixed and random effect in pair-wise meta-analysis, a field in which sometimes there is even lack of consensus in t he statistical community.
