61. Surgical management of cT2 tongue squamous cell carcinomas (SCC): Flap reconstruction vs primary closure – Margins, function, and outcomes
Tongue tumours staged cT2 (TNM8) encompass a wide volumetric range. Management of the post-resection defect may be influenced by tumour size, location, patient factors, and neck management. This may impact margin control rates, functional outcomes, and survival. We analysed cT2 tongue SCC ’s undergoing wide local excision (WLE) ± reconstruction to understand these outcomes.
