An Interdisciplinary and Immersive Real-time Learning Experience in Adolescent Nutrition Education Through Augmented Reality Integrated With Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics

Mounting nutrition-related issues commonly notable among school-going adolescents is a contemporary global concern that requires urgent attention. Because of rapid globalization and urbanization, the issue is a growing alarming concern in Malaysian society.1 The significant shift in the dietary and food consumption pattern resulted in 27% to 30% of school-going adolescents being overweight or obese in this country.2 The study also reported an exponential increase in childhood obesity among school-going adolescents, spiking from 5.4% in 2006 to 14.8% in 2019.
