Statewide Initiatives to Address Youth Suicide Prevention
Suicide and suicidal behavior among youth is a major public health crisis. The recent AAP Blueprint for Youth Suicide Prevention, endorsed by AACAP, highlights the vital role of community-level, cross-sectoral partnerships in addressing youth suicide prevention. This Clinical Perspectives describes 3 models of addressing youth suicide prevention via statewide partnerships, with focus on initial efforts to develop, implement, and measure outcomes, and define future goals.
