Frontal EEG alterations induced by hippocampal amyloid pathology in rats

CONCLUSION: Our findings indicate that spontaneous frontal EEG beta and alpha activity were significantly affected by the intrahippocampal injection of Aβ1-42. However, the results suggest that the power ratios of these bands are more sensitive to the hippocampal amyloid pathology. As such, it is proposed that the rFBA may be a more effective biomarker for diagnosing hippocampal pathology induced by Aβ1-42.PMID:37757662 | DOI:10.1016/j.advms.2023.09.006
