A Bear of an Aberrant Case: Bilateral Breast Malignancies in a Woman With Previous History of Breast Radiation
An 83-year-old woman with history of left-sided breast cancer treated with lumpectomy, axillary lymph node dissection, and adjuvant radiation therapy to the left breast alone 25 years ago presented for skin ulceration over the left breast. Shave biopsy returned breast carcinoma, Estrogen Receptor 90%, Progesterone Receptor 95%, Human Epidermal Growth Factor Receptor 2 nonamplified. Diagnostic mammography and ultrasound demonstrated a 2.0 cm right axillary lymph node and one mass in each breast.
