Aligning Guidelines and Practice: The  Monitoring of Cardiovascular Implantable Electronic Devices in Australia and New Zealand

In June 2022, the Cardiac Society of Australia and New Zealand (CSANZ) released a position statement on the follow-up of cardiovascular implantable electronic devices [1]. Subsequently, in May 2023, the Heart Rhythm Society (in collaboration with the European Heart Rhythm Association [EHRA], the Latin American Heart Rhythm Society [LAHRS], and our local electrophysiology society, the Asia Pacific Heart Rhythm Society [APHRS] – albeit without an Australian representative) published an expert consensus statement on the practical management of remote device clinics [2].
