Introduction: Automated assessment of coronary atherosclerosis severity and phenotype by artificial intelligence (AI) applied to coronary computed tomography angiography (CCTA) can optimize image processing times, standardize image interpretation and quantification, and minimize inter-observer variability. However, studies assessing the diagnostic performance of AI-based CCTA algorithms compared to invasive intravascular imaging are lacking.
