Relationship Between Microvascular Status And Diagnostic Performance Of Dynamic Ct Perfusion For Detecting Ischemia

Introduction: Coronary computed tomography angiography (CTA) has an excellent negative predictive value for detecting obstructive coronary artery disease (CAD), but is limited in determining the hemodynamic significance of coronary stenoses. Dynamic CT perfusion imaging (CTP) enables the quantification of myocardial blood flow (MBF), allowing assessment not only of myocardial ischemia but also of microvascular status, which varies from patient to patient. Understanding the relationship between microvascular status and the diagnostic performance of dynamic CTP for detecting ischemia might help us to know in which microvascular status dynamic CTP is most useful.
