High-risk Plaque Features Identify Residual Inflammation In Patients With Recent Acute Myocardial Infarction

Introduction: Residual inflammatory risk in acute myocardial infarction (AMI) patients is associated with future cardiac events. Atheroma characterization using CT coronary angiography (CTCA) can identify precursors to culprit lesions in AMI. We compared high-risk features of non-culprit lesions in AMI patients with lesions in stable coronary artery disease (CAD) patients to identify markers of residual inflammatory risk.
