A similar percentage believe addressing burnout should be a top priority for their organization, but 35% of workers believe common steps such as higher pay, better benefits, and increased staffing are inadequate. A similar survey from Tebra found 77% of healthcare workers see a healthcare crisis happening due to understaffing and burnout. Additionally, 73% of workers said they felt underpaid, 59% said they feel underappreciated, and one-third plan to leave their job in the next year. Nearly 90% of patients want to take a more active role in their health journey, a TailorMed survey found. Key clinical motivators include better engagement with their doctor or pharmacy (38% of respondents) and better well-being (34%), while 95% said it was important to understand the cost of care and have convenient ways to pay their bills.
