Comment on “A new risk score for the assessment of outcomes for Chinese patients with peripartum cardiomyopathy”

We read with great interest the article by Zhang et al.1 The authors developed a new score to assess peripartum cardiomyopathy (PPCM), specifically a risk score consisting of pericardial effusion, left ventricular dilatation and D-dimer levels ≥0.5 μg/mL is helpful in screening for PPCM patients, and a risk score consisting of pulmonary hypertension, lower haemoglobin and worse LVEF can help assess the prognosis of PPCM patients. It is well known that there are not many clinical predictive models for PPCM patients, so the author should be commended for his choice of topic and his efforts.
