Efficacy of autologous platelet-rich plasma for long-term glucocorticoids caused chronic wound: a case report

We report a case of a 42-year-old woman patient with a chronic hip wound combined with ischium bone exploration. And the patient who was treated with long-term glucocorticoids for rheumatoid arthritis has been through the experience of extensive conserva tive management. Thereafter necrosectomy and Vacuum-Assisted Closure (VAC) surgical procedure failed, and a PRP daily injection was performed at the ischial muscle and soft tissue. Neo-muscle appeared around the explored ischium bone after 8 weeks of injection and Complete wound healing was obta ined in 3 months.
