Influence of patient position in thoracoscopic esophagectomy on postoperative pneumonia: a comparative analysis from the National Clinical Database in Japan

ConclusionsAlthough prolonged ventilation and surgery-related mortality occurred more frequently in the LP group than in the PP group, the patient position did not significantly influence the occurrence of postoperative pneumonia.
