Validation du Questionnaire sur l’environnement sociopédagogique des élèves du primaire (QESPP).

This article represents the validation of the Questionnaire sur l’environnement sociopédagogique au primaire (QESPP). This questionnaire aims at documenting the perceptions of 6- to 12-year-old students regarding their classroom climate. It is an adapted version of a theoretical model and a questionnaire originally proposed by Janosz et al. (1998, 2007): Questionnaire sur l’environnement socioéducatif (QES). The content validation of the QESPP first led to focusing the measured content on the classroom environment and adapting it for accessibility to students aged 6–12. The exploratory and confirmatory factor analyses, conducted with a large sample of elementary school students (N = 1002), then led to reducing the scales and to validating the final version of the QESPP. In sum, the analyses highlight the correspondence between the theoretical model derived from the original model and the empirical constructs of the QESPP scales. Similarly, the analyses confirm the psychometric qualities of the measures using the perception of primary school students with regard to their sociopedagogical environment.
