Nasal polyposis in severe asthma is associated with airway autoimmunity towards eosinophils and macrophages

Conclusion: Nasal polyposis was associated with airway autoantibodies towards eosinophils and macrophages in patients with severe asthma, suggesting that co-existing asthma and NP may have an autoimmune genesis.
