Foundation Year Medicine Or Not?

Good Evening Everyone,
I have a question regarding whether I should apply to Medicine this year or not. Firstly, I understand that this comes down to my decision but I would appreciate it if I could gain some insight too. Thank you.
My background:
- ABB in Chem, Psychology, Bio (achieved - I'm on a gap year)
- UCAT : 2350
- Work Experience in hospital (ward helper), pharmacy.
I've researched for foundation years/gateway years concerning unis and have looked at their requirements( typically background/A-Levels/if parents are in recipients of benefits/ucat bursaries), and can confirm that I'm eligible for all these areas.
However, my academics are very low for Medicine. I have two options now and thus would like some advice on which one to go for:
a). Do the BMAT. Apply to a mix of unis: some accepting BMAT w/ contextual offers on A-Levels, and others with...
