ConclusionsDespite equivalence in diagnostic accuracy, the crown-cut needle was superior to the conventional needle in detecting granulomas and histiocytes. This indicates greater potential for obtaining higher quality sample material with the crown-cut needle in cases of granulomatous inflammation.
