ConclusionAcupuncture can improve nutrition-related blood indicators in patients in a persistent vegetative state and delay the decrease of upper arm circumference and skinfold thickness of triceps brachii, which may be related to the regulation of intestinal flora and fecal short-chain fatty acids contents.
