Neuroimaging findings of post-thrombolysis cerebral hemorrhage in acute ischemic stroke (P6.238)

Conclusion: The most common pattern of hemorrhage observed after IV-tPA in acute ischemic stroke was petechial hemorrhagic transformation of ischemic infarct, which is most suggestive of bleeding due to blood-brain breakdown at the site of infarction. Unusual patterns of hemorrhage (such as multiplicity and remote ICH) are rare. Further studies are warranted to better understand the underlying mechanisms of hemorrhagic complications after thrombolysis.Disclosure: Dr. Lee has nothing to disclose.
