HDAC4 Shuttling Promotes Neuronal Remodeling After Stroke (I10-1C)

CONCLUSIONS: Stroke induces nuclear shuttling of HDAC4 in excitatory and inhibitory neurons of the peri-infarct cortex which is strongly correlated with enhanced axonal density and myelination, suggesting a role for HDAC4 in promoting neuronal remodeling after stroke. Study Supported by: RO1 AG037506 and NS075156 and AHA Grant 10SDG2790012.Disclosure: Dr. Shehadah has nothing to disclose. Dr. Kassis has nothing to disclose.
