Drexel vs Virginia tech
Title. I’ve been accepted at VT, and im interviewing with Drexel this coming week. Absolutely not trying to count my chickens before they hatch, but just curious about the general consensus on the two schools. I like Drexel’s location, and the larger class size, but am concerned about their main teaching hospital closing, and rumors of “disorganized rotations and clinical years” Any current students at either institution, please add your pros/cons of your schools! Virginia Tech vs IU
I would like to preface by saying I would love to attend the medical school that will give me the greatest opportunities for pursuing a competitive residency in the future since I am relatively undecided on a specialty.

Integrated research time. Heavy emphasis on research.
NBME exams. No in-house exams.

Is yield protection actually a thing for high-stat (3.9+/520+) applicants?
I went to an info session for Virginia Tech earlier, and I loved the school and am heavily considering applying. However, I'm at a 3.9/521 (3.95 sGPA), so I'm worried they'll yield-protect me to save interview spots.
Is this something I should be worried about? If so, should I reach out to them to convey my genuine interest in attending.
FWIW: I am a first-gen, underprivileged White (North African) male from CA who was a CC transfer. I have a decent amount of research already (~1000-ish...

Virginia Tech (~60% Scholarship) vs UCLA (Geffen)
This may seem like a silly thread to post but I am having a hard time with this decision. For reference, I am from the southwest/currently live in CA. However, I don't necessarily have a desire to match here.
Virginia Tech
Pros
130k scholarship + low COL
Very supportive admin
P/F all four years
Seem to match pretty well considering their rank?
I like their curriculum set up (and special studies week which is essentially a week off after each block)...

Virginia Tech (Carilion) vs VCU
Hey, I am absolutely torn between these two schools.
VTC Pros
-Small (42) class size, which I love and generally prefer to a larger class
-Strong, close knit community with true P/F, very non competitive vibe
-Nice, affordable living options
-Roanoke is beautiful, in the middle of the mountains
-Lots of opportunities for mentorship and faculty interaction
-Admin seems to care a lot about students
-Ample research opportunities (I’m not a prolific researcher by any means though;...

NYMC vs Virginia Tech (VTC)
Hi everyone, I'm very fortunate to have been accepted to two schools this cycle. I'm hoping to get some feedback on whether I'm making the right decision or whether I should reconsider. I'm from Cali and I have to go OOS but hope to return for residency.

Potentially changing course of life - advice?
Good evening to all- I apologize ahead of time for the long thread,
I am a current final-semester senior (graduating early) at Virginia Tech who has been planning for the past 2 years to pursue the PA profession. I am already fully applied to about 6 programs, and am awaiting responses for admissions to summer 2018 programs. That being said, I changed the entire course of my undergraduate preparation to appeal to PA programs, (took the GRE, specific A/P courses, wracked up PCE hours, etc.)....

Admissions Advice for the "Imperfect" DPT Candidate
Hello Everyone:
Wherever and whenever you end up reading this, I hope this message finds you well. I'm a current second year student at the University of Pittsburgh that simply wanted to take a second to share. I'll try and keep the personal details to a minimum. My goal is to spread a positive message, not share my own personal story.
I'm 26. I completed my undergrad at Virginia Tech. And I can safely say that my undergraduate GPA is hands-down, by far, the worst of my 57 peers. I...
