The primary objective of the NCI Comparative Brain Tumor Consortium (CBTC) is to create a comprehensive, parallel research environment between human and veterinary neurooncologists, neuroimaging experts and cancer biologists for the characterization, validation and further study of canine brain tumors as a naturally-occurring model of human brain tumors.
