Adams applauds NYC hospitals for feeding patients plant-based meals over meat by default in climate push Eric Adams cheered NYC hospitals for serving patients plant-based meals, saying food production/consumption is the city's third-largest source of emissions. www.foxnews.com Hahahahahaha. This is a recipe ... for disaster. When I say disaster, I mean low press ganey scores. An emerging realization for very large hospitals and health systems is that food served, and ability to get at non-routine meal times, greatly impact patient satisfacti...

Eating healthy during inpt months?
Hello, I’m about to start my second inpt month as an intern. I am looking for guidance on healthy eating during this month. I’m a stress eater, vegetarian and have a hankering for sweet foods. Things that act against me during this month. ive tired days when I have a smaller “healthier” breakfast, that leaves me feeling hungry. I’ve tried skipping lunches, but don’t function as well on empty stomach. There are days when my lunch comes at 4 pm and then there are days whenmy next... Read more (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Elijah McLain
If you’re gonna give ketamine 500mg to a 130lb vegetarian massage therapist after choking and taunting and threatening him for 15min, you better know how to deal with it’s effects. My old residency director would have called it an anesthesia clean kill. My delightful, loving Aspy nephew waves his arms too. OT What are you cooking?
I wasnt happy with any of the cooking thread search results so starting a new one I love cooking when I have the time. I was super picky when I was younger, even when I went vegetarian at the age of 13. I took a cooking class when I was 21 because I had no idea what I was doing and now it is really exciting for me to make something I've never tried before and have it turn out I had been wanting to try ratatouille for a while and this weekend finally went for it. I put it over some... OT What are you cooking? (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Math Destroyer question
Fellow SDN'ers, I need clarity on this question. Half the population of Green Village is vegetarians, and 35% ride bicycles. If 20% are both vegetarian and ride bicycles, what is the probability that a person chosen at random from Green Village is either a vegetarian or rides a bicycle. A. 95% B. 65% C. 12% D. 83% E. 24% Solution in the back says its B, but if I think of it, why is it simply not: 50/100 + 35/100 = 85/100 or 85% either a vegetarian or rides a bicycle? Why does the 20% even... Math Destroyer question (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Ethics, vegetarianism, and the treatment of farm animals.
I have been interested in pursuing veterinary medicine for a few years now but have only recently come across an ethical dilemma. I have been a vegetarian for 2 years and a vegan for almost a year now, stemming from my passion for animal welfare. I have recently noticed that in a veterinary clinic I am always the only vegetarian in the room. Working with large animal vets I have seen a wide spectrum of treatment of dairy cows (for instance), from caring but firm treatment to violent,...
