ASPCA Spay/Neuter Alliance
Hello, 4th year at University of Wisconsin here. I’m wondering if anyone else is externing with ASPCA Spay/Neuter Alliance (formerly known as Humane Alliance) in Asheville, NC. I’ll be there from June 23-July 5 and it would be awesome to know at least someone before arriving. Any former externs have tips on how to make the most of this experience, or things you wish you had known? Any and all info is appreciated. Thanks! (Source: Student Doctor Network)

University of Wisconsin-Madison vs. Weill Cornell
Cornell Pros - Incredible clinical affiliations, research opportunity, prestige - Upper East Side New York City, I feel like it would be a once in a lifetime opportunity to live in NYC - People were incredible, talented, and diverse - 6 month dedicated research time - loved the student community, like a family, small class size Cons - 87k/year - Higher COL - no car Wisconsin Pros - cheaper col - 45k/year - a great school cons - larger class - not NYC - closer to family I really like... Clerkships in M2..??
I'm currently researching medical schools and will be applying this summer. I've come across a few med schools that seem to start clerkships in spring of M2 year instead of the traditional fall of M3. So far the ones I've seen are (maybe??) the University of Wisconsin Madison and the University of Iowa. Personally, I put very high value on clinical learning because there's only so much you can learn from textbooks. So my question is: would these schools be rushing the "book-learning" phase... OHSU vs University of Wisconsin, Madison
I am from the west coast and LOVE Portland, but Madison is great and both schools seem to offer similar opportunities in eduction, residency opportunities and research. I like the students more at OHSU but there was nothing wrong with the students at Wisconsin. The thing holding me back from OHSU is the OOS tuition, 62K vs 42K at Wisconsin.... Also, thinking about winter in Wisconsin does not bring joy to my heart. I am feeling stuck and nervous about the big cost difference, but feel more... MCW ($70K) vs University of Wisconsin ($200K) vs Pitt ($320K)
I am having so much trouble choosing between these schools that it is keeping me awake at night. I am not sure if I am interested in an academic career, but I am interested in competitive specialties like derm, optho, ortho, ENT, etc. and would like to keep these doors wide open. Ultimately I would love to run my own practice along with entrepreneurial endeavors, and hope to become an exceptional clinician. (+) or (-) indicate a definite pro or con of the choice, while (?) indicates... MCW ($70K) vs University of Wisconsin ($200K) vs Pitt ($320K) (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Anyone have any insight on these residency programs?
Since scutwork.com is very outdated and not updated, want to know if there were any current residents (or recent grads) of the programs below to shed some insight. Currently making my rank list and these programs I'm not too sure how to rank. University of Wisconsin UPMC Baylor Dallas vs UTSW University of Colorado I know UTSW and UPMC are the big name programs, but I really liked the smaller program feel of Wisconsin and Baylor Dallas. Wisconsin's facilities were extremely nice and I want... Anyone have any insight on these residency programs? (Source: Student Doctor Network)
