Recession = good?
Anyone actually hoping for a real recession?
Some would argue we are in one now- but extremely low unemployment, robust consumer spending and strong wage growth make that a paper recession only.
On the upside, a real recession would do more to curb this ridiculous inflation than anything the fed can do. The downside is that the stock market would take further hit, although hard to see how much.

Unemployed due to SCOTUS
With the recent SCOTUS ruling, 5-4, upholding the CMS mandate requiring full vaccination, more than a few healthcare providers will soon be fired from their job.

PA after Pharmacy
Hey guys,
I know some dude who is considering PA school after graduating pharmacy school 5 years ago and working in retail. I am a bit of confused if its even worth it. Pharmacist in retail are making almost the same as a PA. With 2 years of unemployment, going to PA school would definitely put on some loans. PAs work in clinics and it would not make as much difference in the type of work unless he decides to go into specialty like surgery.

pain medicine fellowship after EM residency?
I'm about to start my intern year in an academic 4 year EM residency program in July. Given the grim future job outlook for EM (an estimated 9000 EM physicians are predicted to be unemployed by 2030) I've been looking into fellowship options so that I have a backup plan in case I can't land an EM attending job after residency. Hey all I'm a rising MS4 who was formerly all-in for EM until the recent oversaturation woes. Would it be best to apply only to top rated EM programs at this point in order to minimize the odds of being unemployed upon residency completion?
