Haplotype variants of the stripe rust resistance gene Yr28 in Aegilops tauschii
Theor Appl Genet. 2022 Sep 29. doi: 10.1007/s00122-022-04221-w. Online ahead of print.ABSTRACTStripe rust resistance gene YrAet672 from Aegilops tauschii accession CPI110672 encodes a nucleotide-binding and leucine-rich repeat domain containing protein similar to YrAS2388 and both these members were haplotypes of Yr28. New sources of host resistance are required to counter the continued emergence of new pathotypes of the wheat stripe rust pathogen Puccinia striiformis Westend. f. sp. tritici Erikss. (Pst). Here, we show that CPI110672, an Aegilops tauschii accession from Turkmenistan, carries a single Pst resistance gene, ...

Factors affecting prognosis of the patients with severe hyponatremia
CONCLUSION: Severe hyponatremia in hospitalized patients is associated with substantial mortality. The incidence of non-optimal correction of serum Na is high; under-correction, presence of severe symptoms, chronic kidney disease and cancer were the factors that increase mortality rate.PMID:36153916 | DOI:10.1016/j.nefroe.2022.05.002 (Source: Nefrologia : publicacion oficial de la Sociedad Espanola Nefrologia)

A Role for Nup153 in Nuclear Assembly Reveals Differential Requirements for Targeting of Nuclear Envelope Constituents
Mol Biol Cell. 2022 Aug 31:mbcE22050189. doi: 10.1091/mbc.E22-05-0189. Online ahead of print.ABSTRACTAssembly of the nucleus following mitosis requires rapid and coordinate recruitment of diverse constituents to the inner nuclear membrane. We have identified an unexpected role for the nucleoporin Nup153 in promoting the continued addition of a subset of nuclear envelope proteins during initial expansion of nascent nuclei. Specifically, disrupting the function of Nup153 interferes with ongoing addition of B-type lamins, lamin B receptor (LBR), and SUN1 early in telophase, after the nuclear envelope (NE) has initially enclos...
